Wheelie Wednesday - Judy on Scruffs!

Hi, it's me Judy!
I've really exciting news.
There's going to be a Wheelie Dog Show, Scruffs - do click on the poster for all the details & strict entrance rules...Miss Enid Wheelie on Wheels, THE authority on all things relating to Manners of Etiquette will be the hostess with the mostess...
Must remember my P's & Q's in her presence.
But, somewhat worryingly, the Supreme Judge is Eric, Square Dog, whose usual way of greeting wheelies is this...I maybe small but I'm brave enough to face him - I think!!!
Perhaps, I'll let Bailey enter with me!
Then, I can hide under his wheels.
Must get Mummy to smooth down my felt & find an Orange bandanna - it's Eric's favourite colour!
Will post photo's of the event, promise!
Till next time,

Wheelie Wednesday - Judy Ponders!

Hi, it's me Judy!
I'm a sad, very sad 'wheelie', as my crafty creator 'Aunt' Lana, over @ Airedale Heaven, who only recently lost her husband, has now lost her sweet Aire pup Poppy - how cruel is that?
I've also no new photo's today as Mummy's poorly - she imbibed far too much red wine last night in an attempt to lift her flagging spirits - a bad & sad move, as now she is even more depressed!
And Woodstock's down too, having made his first ever post that's not received a single comment, and what's worse, his best friend Merry is upset with him because he made that post in the first place.
Think I'll just go take a nap & hope tomorrow looks 'wheelie' brighter.

Wheelie Wednesday - Bailey & Judy makes Pancakes!

Hi everyone, Bailey here, AND me, Judy!
As you can see, I've, we've taken to cooking.
Yesterday was Shrove Tuesday, Pancake day, Fat Tuesday, Mardi Gras & Carnival - whatever, it was the day before Ash Wednesday & the start of Lent - that's today!
For those that observe religious thingy bobs, not Mistress for sure; that means 40 days of fasting or trying to give up something one wants big time, like chocolate or alcohol.
Now, there's was no chance, that, you know who, will go Tea-Total.
Or Miss Foxy will give up her superiority towards me.
Ouch, SHE wheelie wheeled me!
Judy here: He deserved it!
But we did all get together as a family, and follow the custom of a celebratory feast.

I collected the best eggs from Miss Henny Penny's cage, HE wanted to use the cheapo ones...In the end we used up both & all the milk in the house.
Opps! None was left for Mummys breakfast
I tackled the Lemons & Oranges...Bailey: And I did the serious work like beating the eggs...And heating up the brand new, non-stick pan...Mistress, then insisted, heavens knows why, on taking over from me.
Shucks, I was having such fun!
And, as she, seemed sadly, unable to do two tasks @ once; ie cook & take photo's; I can't show you the finished pancakes.
We, however, enjoyed them with freshly squeezed Lemon & Orange juice & sprinkles of sugar.
Judy :They were great; till, Mummy reminisced about a fancy variation, she'd tried once.
She made wholewheat [brown] pancakes & filled them with lemon curd & creme fraiche, before pouring Limoncello, an Italian liqueur, she'd brought back from Rome over them!
Grrr!
That Sis of mine always has to have the last word!
Till next time, keep paw happy!

Bye-de-Bye,

Wheelie Wednesday - Bailey seeks Romance!

Hallo all!
With Valentines Day looming I have a dilemma.
Who to send my romantic greeting too!
Shhh - don't tell anyone but you see, I don't have a 'wheelie' girlfriend!
Most of the terrier pups are already paired off.
But, I don't look like an Airedale or a WFT like precious little Miss Judy.
I'm a 'wheelie' mongrel.
Mistress says that it doesn't matter, my cute black button nose & big brown eyes will win hearts a plenty...
I've got my pressie & Valentines card @ the ready...
Any recipients out there???
Till next time, keep paw happy!
Bye-de-Bye,

Wheelie Wednesday - Judy on Books & Honey!

Hi, it's me Judy!
With nursing duties over, Woodstock & I have been spending some quiet time reading together...
You see, this was my Christmas pressie to him...
We may not have a Pooh Bear in the Hug, but we do love his stories!
And, in his honour, we're having crusty bread & Honey for tea today...
Wish you could all join us!
Who cares about sticky paws & wheels - it's scrummy!
Till next time, keep cosy!

Wheelie Wednesday - Bailey Better & Busy!

Hallo All!
You'll be pleased to know I'm back on my paws after my nasty bout of 'Wheelie' Flu - that Swine Flu is nothing in comparrision.
It goes against my stuffing BUT have to admit that the Foxy Miss did good as a nurse - kept the hot toddy's flowing nicely!
Shame, she doesn't have a cure for Mistress's forgetfulness.
You wouldn't believe the mess she made looking for her mislaid keys.
She even emptied her shredded paper basket!
Ever my helpful self, I was on floor sweeping duties yesterday...While she relaxed with coffee & finished this rather unique Jig-Saw, one I had especially had made for her... As Sir Woodstock would say of himself "Handsome looking fellow!"
Till next
time, keep paw happy!
Bye-de-Bye,

Wheelie Wednesday - Nurse Judy Reporting!

Hi, it's me Judy!
It's been simply ages since I had a word with you all.
I hope everyone's well & keeping paws warm this cold snowy Winter.
We're having lots more white flurries today!
But unlike Bailey last week, I'm wisely NOT looking outside.
He wishes now, he'd not tried to catch snowflakes on his tongue, as instead, he's caught a Cold - mustn't laugh, just quietly girly giggle.
Naturally being a boy, he claims it's much more serious - Wheelie Flu!
And, he's taken to his or rather Mummy's bed with a raft of tissues...
Remembering my 'virtual' nursing training by experienced WFT Head Nurse Asta, I donned my best Florance Nightingale look & delved in to the family Medicine Chest...I've even taken his temperature & professionally put the thermometer under his tongue...He protested, but I said I could have put it elsewhere!!!
My conclussion is - he'll live.
Since Sir Woodstock thoughtfully suggested Bailey might need lots of Vitamin C to aid his recovery, I've set to work...
Must dash, as am off to take him his hot toddy.
Aren't, I, just the very best Sis, anyone could ever have???
And, it's not the first time I've nursed HIM back to good health!
I'll remind of that again, when he is back on his wheels.
Till next time, keep cosy!

Wheelie Wednesday - Judy on the Bear-day Aftermath!

Hi, it's me Judy!
Just a quick post as I am soooo busy caring for a still poorly Mummy, an exceedingly 'tired' Woodstock, & clearing up after the pawty!!!

I imagine, you wondered where I was on Sir Woodstock's actual 1st Bear-day Celebration?
Well, dear Merry & I took it upon our-selves to help Mummy.
You wouldn't imagine to number of paw-martini's we made, even WFT Asta was impressed!
Then, there was the entrees to serve & the ice-cream to scoop out - it was busy, busy but loads of fun.
The aftermath, not so much!
Fancy pawty hats were left everywhere!!!
And, then there were the feathers to collect, due to the tipsy pillow fight between bears & 'wheelie' pups!
Thankfully, Woodstock's beloved Miss Rosie more a tea- mistress than a imbiber departed early, so didn't see that!!!
As for Woodstock him-self, he had such a 'good time' he's been sleeping it off ever since...
Anyway, Merry & I are finally getting on top of tidying things up!
But, what worries me is Woodstock has his first Gotch Day looming and Mother's going to be away!!!
Whispering here, hopefully, he won't remember it.
Till next time,

Wheelie Wednesday - Judy re tells her Story!

Hi, it's me Judy!
Don't imagine you expected to see me again this week.
But, Wheelie brother Bailey, bless him, let me, if a little begrudgingly, have another word.
You see, Mummy has missed two important dates in my small feltie life, my 1st Adoption Barkday & my 1st Gotcha Day!!!
Can you believe it?
Here I am, like royalty, Queen Elizabeth II, with two Birthdays, an actual one & an official one, and I didn't get to celebrate either!
For those of you wondering, how come I have two special days, I had a near disastrous start.
Mummy, who had been wanting a 'Wheelie' for ages, before she found Bailey, had asked Aunty Lana over @ Airedale Heaven to felt me.
I was to be named Judy in memory of Mummy's childhood WFT doggy sister and to be modeled in the image of her now best foxy friend, the one & only Jackson.
Bailey still says he can't believe, he agreed to a GIRLY clone, but he did or rather his JI did!
Per my Adoption Certificate, my adoption was formally completed on the 4th August 2008
I was then carefully bedded down & duly shipped across the Big Pond, only to be taken prisoner by men in dark jackets - because I went missing, Mummy thought I'd got lost @ sea!
But, eventually, the Customs Inspectors allowed me into Dreamingspires with instructions that Mr Postman was NOT to deliver me to Mummy unless she paid a huge ransom!
Mummy was outraged & appealed - in hindsight, she whole hearted wishes she hadn't - I though, have forgiven her.
Anyway, still safely in my cosy box I went back to the Customs Head Office.
There I was unceremoniously dragged from my bed & I interrogated!!!
It was ever so scary, but I held out as best as I could.
They ripped my left paw off my wheels & bent it painful backwards, tweaked my tail & ruffed up my fine felt.
With no confession extracted, these nasty men returned me to Dreamingspires, still demanding the ransom tax be paid.
Mummy on seeing my wrecked box, knew she couldn't have me sent back to the States, so she paid over the many pounds demanded & brought me home.
My Gotcha Day was last Sunday, the 18th October!

I was in a terrible state, all wheelie wobbly & pathetic looking...Mummy fixed a surgical plaster to my poorly sore paw, straighten my tail & lovingly smoothed down my felt.
I rested up on her bed... And, eventually Mummy rejoined my paw to my wheels.
All was was finally well in my world & has remained so.

Must go now, as rumour has it every bear & pup is gathering for a surprise pawty in my honour!
And, I've just seen a cake...
