Purr-day Greetings Misses Peach!

One can never have enough 'Aunts'!
The fact that one of mine is a cat is incidental, she is a lady of fine vintage.
Here we are sharing a quiet moment pre her recent wedding nuptials...
Purr-Day Greeting to you dear 'Aunt' Misses Peach>(^;^)<!

Mother and I will be joining you shortly @ the Cozy Cottage for tea & cake.
And of course, while there, I can hopefully steel a quiet private word with my own beloved Miss Rosie too - Yes!

The Big Christmas Day 'Pull' Report!

My Christmas Cracker event was 'cracking' success.
Master Mitch, always game, was first to show up...
I won!
Wowee!!!
Err - Sorry, got a touch carried away there!
My prize, a small notebook for my private mussings; a gold paper hat - see following pulls photo and this joke:-
"How does Good King Wenceslas like his pizzas?"
Of, course Mitch, champion pizza eater guessed the answer straight away.
"Deep pan, crisp & even!".

Next willing victim - Opps, willing participant was Willie, standing in proxy, for 'Aunt' BJ...
I lost this tug!
He got a giant paper clip for his efforts & another GREEN paper hat!
And his joke went like this:-
"What is BLACK & WHITE and RED all over?"
"A newspaper!!!"

Then, dear 'Aunt' Misses Peach >(^;^)< dropped into admire her two look-a-likes on Mother's tree...Being the gentleman Bear that I am, I allowed her to win her cracker pull - was actually thankful I did - the prize was a small vanity mirrow, a PINK hat and this joke, oh so meant for her:-
"What are BROWN & creep around the house?"
"Mince spies!"

And finally, Master Marlowe took time out from his own Hug celebrations to arrive in his Santa suit...This cracker was a 'Damp Squid' as pull as we might, we got no-where.
So, we called it a dead heat.
But joke was definitely designed for us bears:-
"How do you start a teddy bear race?"
"Ready, Teddy, Go!"

Well, hope everyone has had as much fun as me today.
Will report on the Hugs and my stockings fillers later.
Am, now off to share an after dinner Benidictine liqueur with Mother.
It was a Xmas gift to her.
Made by Monks from Herbs and Honey - she finds it excessively sweet.
So, is more than willing to share with me
Yesssssssssssssss!
Hugs,
x

A Post Wedding Day Post!

Now, I usually allow the 'Wheelies' to have a say today, it being Wednesday, however, Miss Judy, small in stature, but big in romantic heart, has kindly allowed me over rule such things.

Mother & I have finally returned home from 'Aunt', now Misses Peach >(^;^)<'s Vintage Wedding.
It was a truly beautiful affair.
Mother wept during the ceremony when Pachelbel's Canon in D was played.
That music was so appropriate, as my own wedding gift, was 'Woodstock' Wedding Wind Chimes of that particular ring...
Here are a couple of delightful 'Official' wedding images for you...
Their cake, even impressed Mother...
Also, I do have my own personal photographs!
Here I am with the Bride & Groom...Then alone, with my dear Aunt Misses Peach...
Yes, it was a day to remember / treasure!
And partly, mostly, because I finally meet, bear to bear face, my lovely Miss Rosie.
I am still floating on cloud nine!
She liked me - I think rather a lot too!
And, I do so reciprocate those feelings.
I understand, Internet Romance, can be difficult, but not in this case.
Since home, I can bearly lift my eyes from her portrait... Hugs from a besotted,

A Party to Remember!

Now, please bear with me today, as I am a little, in fact, a LOT delicate.
So much so, I just cannot believe how noisy these computor keys are!!!
I am trying my best to paw in quietly, as loud sounds do jar my poor head!
And, as for my Juke Box's jingle - I will not go there!!!
You see, I have recently arrived home from a serious Bacholar Party!!!
Here is the invite, and I did survive but only just...
Yes, I know it say's 'ManCats only'!
However, as a close relative of the 'Bride-To-Be', none other than my own dear 'Aunt' Miss Peach >(^;^)< ; an exception was made for myself and young Bob T Bear, Esq!

Miss Peach's intended Mickey, is indeed a fine looking fellow...And, his Best Mancat & Groomscats organised quite a night!
You can read about it & see all the goings on HERE!
All I will add, is there was much caterwauling... The above black cat was NOT Mickey, just in case Miss Peach is concerned!
But, the drinks did flow rather a lot.

After my own experience with the demon Lemon, as in Gin & Tonic's a while back, I restricted myself to premium Scotch instead!
I think the Rocky Creak Scotties will approve of my choice...But, suspect I imbibed a little too much, so must go lie down again.
Mother maybe laughing @ me, but she did keep remarkably quiet about what happened @ Miss Peach's Bridal Tea & Spa Party!!!
I do, suspect this tea was not as innocent as it looks...
Anyway, Mother and I must now ready ourselves, for the Wedding Nuptials a week today; I, of course will be escorting the delightful & genteel Miss Rosie Bear, my own personal love interest.
Mother will have to go alone or accompany Bob!
Hugs,

World Cat Day, Munchen & a Bear Musuem!

I have had to have a serious word or two with Mother this morning, as it came to my belated attention that over the weekend, she had missed another important date on the Calendar of Life - the rather neat graphic's are from The Cat Realm ... Now, I know Mother is a confirmed dog lover BUT!!!
She does have serious pussycat friends - there is Daisy, Muffin & Ginger Jasper for three and, I just I hope that dear 'Aunt' Miss Peach>(^;^)<, will forgive her regrettable forgetfulness and neglect...It was Miss Peach who discovered they were long lost cousins, via the now defunked peculiar aristocratic title website.
She is...
Mother is "Lady Blue, the Mirthful of Bow under Bumpstead" !

Anyway, Saturday was 'World Cat Day', and we missed it!
And, I had a feline Hug member too, to introduce!
Yes, my hug is very eclectic, I insist on open mindedness about species - and this boy has been waiting patiently for his 'moment of fame' for a number of years.
Allow me to introduce lion Munchen...He hails from Munich in Bavaria, as his blue & white check suggests.
In the Summer of 1992, Mother spent the first of a few delightful holidays in that city due to her gentleman friend Little Buddy flying there!
The route was a new venture for 'Canadian Airlines! now long since engulfed by 'Air Canada'.
The crews - well, only the pilots had lengthy layovers - five days off @ a glorious time!
LB managed to secure two such coveted August pairings back to back.
So, Mother stayed on whilst he flew between Canada and Munich - she loved it - the classy hotel, the location, the warm weather & the cold mags of Beer in the Gardens!
Sadly, there are no photos as LB was very paranoid !

Moving on - Munchen's English after living here, for so many years is very good - barely a trace of a German accent!
He told me Mother procured him, as she could not afford a local Bear!
I found that very sad but know she cares for him.
He went on to say, whilst she was in his home city alone, she visited here...
This toy museum in the Old City Hall in Marienplatz in the heart of Munich, houses one of the largest collections of old toys from Europe and America.
But, Mother was only naturally interested in the teddy bears.
This is a souvenir postcard from her visit, showing a resident family of gold & white mohair Stieff Bears from 1904...
Going back to Munchen, he does feel somewhat Hug out numbered.
However, I did point out it could be worse there might 'living' cat for Mother to pet and he does have pride of place on the Rocking Chair - it seemed to cheer him up.
Hugs,
