Saturday Photo Hunt - Cuddly!

Today's photographic prompt gives me an opportunity to quickly update you on Merry's pursuit of Master Stormy.
Her persistence is obviously paying off, as they were seen to be getting seriously cuddly on St Valentine's Day...I quickly adverted my eyes after this touching moment, as wanted to spare their bear blushes!!!!
Ear wagging hugs,

A Late Photo Hunt - Music!

I moved this post from yesterday, in respect of the Miss Snickers appeal!
I do not have a photograph as such, but Mother has found a Country music song about us bears.
It is sung by a nice blonde lady called Babara Fairchild.

And, I am going to dedicate it to my dear Miss Rosie!
Now, DO NOT FORGET to turn OFF 'The Teddy Bears Picnic' on my Juke-Box before viewing
...

Saturday Photo Hunters - Words!

I am going to have to have words with Skipper.
He is sitting on the front garden wall begging!
Just read the words on his placard...
Bearinging in mind that he is bigger than me, with a fierce Polar Bear attitude, I usually hesitate to reprimand him, however I feel his latest action is bringing the Hug into disrepute as we are very well feed.
I suspect he will claim it is because Mother would not let him paw out the tomato pasta saucepan after Joey's cook in.
But that was so, he would not stain his fur bright red!
So, his only acceptable defence, will be that he is doing a little last minute 'fattening up' before he goes into hibernation.
In that case, I will very happily turn a 'blind eye', as sleep deprivation could account for his bad humour towards everyone except 'wheelie' Bailey, his best buddy!
I understand that my friend Buttons white bears hibernate each year, awaking after Thanksgiving but I am hoping Skipper might slumber for longer, much longer!

Saturday Photo Hunt - Twisted!

In my bear opinion, some humans have a very twisted sense of humour...Hugs,

Saturday Photo Hunt - Upside-Down!

If, Mother had paid more attention to what has been going on in our household Hug, she would have had a much more exciting photograph for her post today, than a few old wine glasses!
You see, for reasons that elude me, young John II, abandoned his Bible reading and declared he wanted to learn how to do a handstand!!!
Personally, I thought kneeling in prayer was more his sort of thing but it seems I was wrong for once!
Being an elderly bear my joints were not up to such acrobatics, so Christopher, kindly offered him instruction and a helping paw instead...John II learnt quickly and soon both of them were upside down bears...I am sure their stuffing must have rushed to their heads!

Saturday Photo Hunters - Surprise!

I am sneaking in an entry for this weekly meme.
Caught Mother chuckling away the other day.
She then showed me this photograph with its surprise guest...It seems by the isolated beauty of Lake Minnewanka in Banff National Park, Canada - Mother's been there, a couple thought to take a holiday picture of themselves using their camera's timer.
They were more than a little suprised, when this curious ground squirrel popped up in the foreground to steal the limelight!
He is my type of critter!

Saturday Photo Hunters - Utensils!

I thought, I would join Mother and do tnchick's prompt meme again!
The other evening, it was all paws and wheels to the deck to make supper.
The 'Wheelies' and I being very utensil friendly.
Here's me, grinding the mixed Peppercorns with a Pestle & Mortar...
Miss Judy, niftly weighed the Mushrooms in 'Wheelie' sized Scales...
Bailey, is ready to beat the Eggs, they are just waiting to be seasoned with my Pepper...
And Skipper - well, he is all too handy with a kitchen knife - the less said the better...
What were we, all helping to make?
A Mushroom & Courgette [or Zucchini to my North American friends] Flan.
Or Quiche, if we want to be cosmopolitan!
Mother made the shortcrust wholewheat pastry.
There's no photographs of the finished meal, as she, was more interested in eating it @ that stage!!!
Did we, her valved helpers get a taste?
NO!
Hugs from a hungry,
x

Saturday Photo Hunters - Garbage!

I have not participated in this game for sometime.
But, after checking my America English Dictionary, regarding this weeks word prompt, I realised it is about rubbish - not Aunt BJ's 'Rubbish by Roan', but the sort you seriously throw away.
Now, that reminded me of this disturbing picture I had seen whilst surfing Google Images...I consider a teddy bear rubbish bag, to be in very bad taste!
Am relieved Mother uses bio-degradable black sacks.

All WARM & Cosy!

The prompt for this weeks Saturday Photo Hunters challenge was warm!
I thoughtfully, pointed out to Mother, she need look no further, than me, keeping warm in my own cosy fleece bear blanket, during the recent inclement cold weather...
But, she said she did not believe the serious adults of this meme would appreciate me!
I am sure, she is very wrong.
Who could not resist me, all snuggled up???
Hugs, a disappointed,

A FURRY Adversary!

Mother does Photo Hunters today, this weeks prompt being furry, I told her I had the perfect topic!
But, she went her own sweet way.
So, I will tell you my-self!

Earlier this week, I had a few worrying moments.
You see, wheelie Bailey discovered I had procured my own blog, and his best buddy, the very furry Skipper took it extremely badly, I have to say.
He's a lot bigger than me, looks even more imposing because he's so white and furry!
However, never let it be said that I can be easily intimidated, my initial scared look was simply surprise...I quickly gathered my wits about me and explained to Skipper about Bear Hug loyalty, and that fond as he was of Bailey, I am kin.
Didn't like to add superior kin, as that might have set him off again!
The big lump, eventually saw sense, and we are now friends of sorts...He needs a firm hand & some serious behavioural training - will never be refined like myself, but am sure I can make something of him given time, lots and lots of time!
