A Special Valentine Update!

What can I say, my old bear heart brims over with pride.
I have just recieved this comfirmation from my dear beloved Miss Rosie, that my Valentines card to her, did indeed arrive in time...Naturally, I did not sign it as tradition decrees, but my nearlier post which she read, was rather a give away!
Am now just just a little concerned, that all these other cards @ 'Aunt' Misses Peach's cozy cottage might be for her too...But, I believe a lady of her refinement will have a loyal true heart to me!
Ear wagging hugs to all,

Happy Valentines Day Miss Rosie!

It gladdens an old bears heart to be able to send a Valentines Day Card.
I will now reveal the one I personally dispatched to my dear Miss Rosie, a sweetheart of a pink lady Stieff...
The single red rose bud I deliver 'virtually' with my deapest regards.
Mother even found me a selection of cakes perfect for the occassion too...
Since I see green dragons on one, a Happy Valentines Day to Dilly.
And to all my other friends too!
Ear wagging hugs to all,

Time to Celebrate!

Happy Bear-day to me,
Happy Birthday to Sir Winston,
Happy Bear-day dear ME,
Happy Birthday dear Sir Winston,
Happy B-day to US!

There is no prize for guessing what to day it is here?
My Hug is fancy pawty hat ready as my invitations specified...
Yes, it is my very first ever my Bear-day celebration!
Mother, hiding behind her Venetian mask, wanted to make it special...But I fear she now regrets it's technicalities!!!
[Blue here, without the help of friends below re images all gratefully received, I would have done a 'Woodstock Regrets' post re this 'madness' on my part, as I have felt so unwell this weekend it has been a real struggle to get my act together!]

Back to me, the bear-day boy!
Not every bear can celebrate his day in such fine company!
My Hero, Sir Winston Churchill was born today in 1874 @ the Big House there in Woodstock!
And a 'wheelie' friend joining us is named after him too!
It fell to this wartime prime-minister, to cement my country's alliance with the US, where I now have many good friends!
The son of an American mother & an English father, his eloquence - yes, he was a fine speaker, with a way with words, just like me - endeared him nearly as much to Americans as to the British!
This oil portrait of him is by Douglas Granville Chandor 1946...
And this me, a digital photograph by Mother 2009...
Now, the pawty really can start, the caters have delivered!
My cake has arrived, not from the Shop but it is chocolate...And, my presents marched in...Followed by my many friends.
Master Buttons, smartly attired in business suit was first @ the door... The Rocky Creek Scotties were next...Followed by, Maggie & Mitch plus Miss Autumn and Kipper & Hazel...WFT's Miss Fergi, Jake & 'Wheelie' Winston...
Bob T Bear, esq came over without his famous pants on head...
Charlie Bear, Sally Ann, Mack & Taddy teleported across from the USA...And, Diva Asta as usual dressed to impress & took centre stage...Then played the piano beautifully for our dances and my Bear-day chorus...Before setting up a Las Vegas style gaming table to showing off her card tricks... Ginger Jasper in very fetching green, hoped the luck of the Irish was with him when he sat down to play poker against her...
And, we must send Greeting to his Dad, who has the honour to share his Birthday with little old me!

My personal guest of honour was of course, my lady bear friend dear Miss Rosie - we shared a private moment over a paw-martini, after I had reclaimed her from Master Buttons company - I think she admires a gent in a suit...She arrived with apologies from Aunt Misses Peach, who is still away on her honeymoon with Mickey.

Moving on, Mother has lite my cakes candles - look @ them burning brightly - I am not saying how many...
Everyone please take a deep breath, think of a wish & help me blow them out - one, two, three woooooooooooooooooosh!
And, may I say 'Thank-You' to you for all coming to share my day and making it so memorable, now, lets pawty some more.
Hugs,

A Late Photo Hunt - Music!

I moved this post from yesterday, in respect of the Miss Snickers appeal!
I do not have a photograph as such, but Mother has found a Country music song about us bears.
It is sung by a nice blonde lady called Babara Fairchild.

And, I am going to dedicate it to my dear Miss Rosie!
Now, DO NOT FORGET to turn OFF 'The Teddy Bears Picnic' on my Juke-Box before viewing

A Post Wedding Day Post!

Now, I usually allow the 'Wheelies' to have a say today, it being Wednesday, however, Miss Judy, small in stature, but big in romantic heart, has kindly allowed me over rule such things.

Mother & I have finally returned home from 'Aunt', now Misses Peach >(^;^)<'s Vintage Wedding.
It was a truly beautiful affair.
Mother wept during the ceremony when Pachelbel's Canon in D was played.
That music was so appropriate, as my own wedding gift, was 'Woodstock' Wedding Wind Chimes of that particular ring...
Here are a couple of delightful 'Official' wedding images for you...
Their cake, even impressed Mother...
Also, I do have my own personal photographs!
Here I am with the Bride & Groom...Then alone, with my dear Aunt Misses Peach...
Yes, it was a day to remember / treasure!
And partly, mostly, because I finally meet, bear to bear face, my lovely Miss Rosie.
I am still floating on cloud nine!
She liked me - I think rather a lot too!
And, I do so reciprocate those feelings.
I understand, Internet Romance, can be difficult, but not in this case.
Since home, I can bearly lift my eyes from her portrait... Hugs from a besotted,

A Party to Remember!

Now, please bear with me today, as I am a little, in fact, a LOT delicate.
So much so, I just cannot believe how noisy these computor keys are!!!
I am trying my best to paw in quietly, as loud sounds do jar my poor head!
And, as for my Juke Box's jingle - I will not go there!!!
You see, I have recently arrived home from a serious Bacholar Party!!!
Here is the invite, and I did survive but only just...
Yes, I know it say's 'ManCats only'!
However, as a close relative of the 'Bride-To-Be', none other than my own dear 'Aunt' Miss Peach >(^;^)< ; an exception was made for myself and young Bob T Bear, Esq!

Miss Peach's intended Mickey, is indeed a fine looking fellow...And, his Best Mancat & Groomscats organised quite a night!
You can read about it & see all the goings on HERE!
All I will add, is there was much caterwauling... The above black cat was NOT Mickey, just in case Miss Peach is concerned!
But, the drinks did flow rather a lot.

After my own experience with the demon Lemon, as in Gin & Tonic's a while back, I restricted myself to premium Scotch instead!
I think the Rocky Creak Scotties will approve of my choice...But, suspect I imbibed a little too much, so must go lie down again.
Mother maybe laughing @ me, but she did keep remarkably quiet about what happened @ Miss Peach's Bridal Tea & Spa Party!!!
I do, suspect this tea was not as innocent as it looks...
Anyway, Mother and I must now ready ourselves, for the Wedding Nuptials a week today; I, of course will be escorting the delightful & genteel Miss Rosie Bear, my own personal love interest.
Mother will have to go alone or accompany Bob!

True Colours Thursday - RAINBOW!

I have to confess that this week, Mother's colour choice had me stumped.
However not to miss out on making a contribution, I decided to do another Google Image Search and feeling in rather romantic mood after hearing Aunt BJ's short story
'The Runnaway Bouquet', choose to look for a RAINBOW Rose no less!
And, this is the delightful image I came up with...
It was created by a MEGAN-Yrrbby on deviantART!

I am going to send it, via Aunt Miss Peach>(^;^)< , to my dear lady bear friend Miss Rosie as a token of my devotion.
Am I not quite the gentleman???

True Colours Thursday - PALE PINK!

Phew, we made it!??!
Was not sure I would be here posting today!
Anyway, before getting down to TCT business, must say 'Thank-you' to Aunt BJ, Buttons and Maggie & Mitch for their kind words and friendship, it means a lot!

Now, will take the opportunity to introduce a rather special little girl.

Mother has made many friends via the wonderful world of Dogs with Blogs.
One back in 2007, was Miss Precious, a so cute Silky Terrier from Singapore - seen here pretty in PINK...When she learnt Mother had broken her wrist that Autumn gardening, she sweetly sent 'Little Precious Bear' in her pretty PALE PINK outfit with pup, as a 'Get-Well' present...It was much appreciated.
Sadly, Silky Precious, nolonger updates her blog.

Mother misses her.
Hugs,

x

Postscript:
Miss Rosie's letter & video yesterday made my old bears heart flutter!
And, I certainly blushed PINK under my mohair.

I, of course will be only too delighted as her devoted beau, to escort Miss Rosie at dear Aunt Miss Peach>(^;^)<'s forthcoming wedding.
Who would not want to accompany this exquisite PALE PINK Steiff?
And, having romance in her home, made Mother smile too, even if it is only 'virtual' and between two Teddy Bears, separated by an ocean!

A 'Love' Letter from Miss Rosie!

"Hello Sir Woodstock...Ummm excuse my boldness but I wanted you to hear this song...
I hope you enjoy it.
I look forward to Miss Peach's wedding this autumn where you will escort me to my chair.
Respectfully yours,
Miss Rosie"

[Do not forget to turn OFF 'The Teddy Bears Picnic' on the Juke Box before listening!] - LOL!

Naming Assistance Reguired!

Mothers return was a dark affair and she is still not her usual self.
As each meeting with gentleman friend Little Buddy, leaves her so disheartened, I am seriously beginning to wonder if this thing called 'Romance' is all it is made out to be!!!
I may even have to reconsider whether I pursue my own courtship of dear Miss Rosie, cousin Peach's genteel lady bear, who I sent Valentines and Easter greetings cards too!

Moving on, I did have a quiet, reproachful word with Mother about her lack of postcards from Canada, after all I went to so much trouble making her those special stamps.
She confessed that unlike Las Vegas, she had not sent a single card - shame on her!
But, she did remember to bring me back one of real Grizzly Bear...
On past BC travels, Mother has spied Black Bears feeding close to the highway verges and even had one walk cross in front of her and LB when hiking out at Whistler.
But, she had no such bear sightings this trip.
That may have been for the best, as they are only just emerging from their long Winter hibernation, and are known to be highly unpredictable and cantankerous at this time due to hunger pangs
I imagine if I had not eaten for many months I would be too!
Anyway, after producing my card, Mother introduced me to 'Sweetie'...
Now, cute as he looks, in his Canadian sweatshirt, I do not think this is at all an appropriate name for a Grizzly, so am looking for help here.
All suggestions are most welcome.
The only information I have about his heritage is that is a Cuddle Critter and he was found at Three Valley Gap.
Hugs,
