True Colours Thursday - PUCE!

PUCE!
It was paws in the air, I can tell you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But then, Mother pointed out that she had not only bought a fancy hat from that Bear Fair for Merry, but another one, especially chosen with today's colour in mind - Yes, well - you could have told me earlier!
It was for Polly Pola, whose taste in head attire has been highly questionable in the past.
She has been known to actually enjoy, unlike my-self, wearing pants on her head to please Bob T Bear (esq.) who named her!!!
Personally, I think this Pixie look is much more becoming...
As to whether it & it's button decoration and her handkerchief are PUCE, I am keeping an open mind on!
I am to tell you, both Merry's & Polly's hats were created by Gylls Bears.

True Colours Thursday - BLUE & WHITE!

Being the Gentleman Bear that I am, I will only say a little on Mother's Colours post today as her story with BLUE & WHITE photographs regarding the lady who makes hand spun hair Teddy Bears should strictly have been mine to relate - after all, I am head of her Bear Hug!
But, I have a big heart and I have my own romantic tale to tell!!!

As you know, dear Merry is trying to win the heart of Master Stormy, with his dashing navy BLUE & WHITE bow...Her initial attempts re wearing seductive 'Evening in Paris' Perfume and sharing similar taste in Italian Deruta [BLUE & WHITE] pottery have failed to make an impression - he remains friendly but regretably ALOOF!
However, Mother @ that pre Christmas Teddy Bear Fair in Brighton, found a pretty BLUE hat decorated with tiny WHITE pearls for her to wear...
And when home, a BLUE & WHITE silk handkerchief of Grandmothers.
The finished look - she, Merry hates to model - I insisted...
So, encouraged, by Stormy's unexpected Christmas bouquet of Roses...And with another splash of the magic BLUE &WHITE perfume...
Merry went wooing again - she is one liberated persistant Lady Bear!
The result???
To be continued...
Unfortunately, Mother's camera has lost it's memory and my photograghs!
Hence, I leave you with this romantic 'cliff-hanger'!
Hugs,

Wheelie Wednesday - Bailey Better & Busy!

Hallo All!
You'll be pleased to know I'm back on my paws after my nasty bout of 'Wheelie' Flu - that Swine Flu is nothing in comparrision.
It goes against my stuffing BUT have to admit that the Foxy Miss did good as a nurse - kept the hot toddy's flowing nicely!
Shame, she doesn't have a cure for Mistress's forgetfulness.
You wouldn't believe the mess she made looking for her mislaid keys.
She even emptied her shredded paper basket!
Ever my helpful self, I was on floor sweeping duties yesterday...While she relaxed with coffee & finished this rather unique Jig-Saw, one I had especially had made for her... As Sir Woodstock would say of himself "Handsome looking fellow!"
Till next
time, keep paw happy!
Bye-de-Bye,

True Colours Thursday - APRICOT!

Now, last time we had this sort of shade, Mother stole Hug member Miss Peaches Bear off me for her post - I have reclaimed her & her APRICOT flowers for today...
Friends may recall, she, Mother went to a Teddy Bear Fair whilst in Brighton on her pre Christmas visit there without me - a great regret, as I would certainly, have chosen a more suitable new bear than Othello!
But, looking through her photographs of the event, I have found this one that includes a small APRICOT youngster...Why did she not choose him, he is rather cute!

Wheelie Wednesday - Nurse Judy Reporting!

Hi, it's me Judy!
It's been simply ages since I had a word with you all.
I hope everyone's well & keeping paws warm this cold snowy Winter.
We're having lots more white flurries today!
But unlike Bailey last week, I'm wisely NOT looking outside.
He wishes now, he'd not tried to catch snowflakes on his tongue, as instead, he's caught a Cold - mustn't laugh, just quietly girly giggle.
Naturally being a boy, he claims it's much more serious - Wheelie Flu!
And, he's taken to his or rather Mummy's bed with a raft of tissues...
Remembering my 'virtual' nursing training by experienced WFT Head Nurse Asta, I donned my best Florance Nightingale look & delved in to the family Medicine Chest...I've even taken his temperature & professionally put the thermometer under his tongue...He protested, but I said I could have put it elsewhere!!!
My conclussion is - he'll live.
Since Sir Woodstock thoughtfully suggested Bailey might need lots of Vitamin C to aid his recovery, I've set to work...
Must dash, as am off to take him his hot toddy.
Aren't, I, just the very best Sis, anyone could ever have???
And, it's not the first time I've nursed HIM back to good health!
I'll remind of that again, when he is back on his wheels.
Till next time, keep cosy!

Purr-day Greetings Misses Peach!

One can never have enough 'Aunts'!
The fact that one of mine is a cat is incidental, she is a lady of fine vintage.
Here we are sharing a quiet moment pre her recent wedding nuptials...
Purr-Day Greeting to you dear 'Aunt' Misses Peach>(^;^)<!

Mother and I will be joining you shortly @ the Cozy Cottage for tea & cake.
And of course, while there, I can hopefully steel a quiet private word with my own beloved Miss Rosie too - Yes!

True Colours Thursday - SNOW WHITE!

Now, you may recall that in the Autumn I took Master Buttons advise and insisted grumpy Skipper, as befitting his SNOW WHITE Polar Bear heritage, hibernate for a few months in hope of improving his temperament.
With Wheelie Bailey, his best Buddys help, we managed to shove - err, Sorry - stow him away under the stairs, with the promise to wake him in time for the Holiday Festivities...Personally, I would have preferred him to sleep on and on and on
And the recent Winter weather suggests he should have!
But, a Bear's Word is his Bond, so we woke him up on Christmas Eve!

His first thought, was not 'Thank-you 'as I had bear hoped, but a very private word with Bailey...It seemed Skipper refreshed, had decided to abandon his dark, somewhat menacing 'Blues Brother' shades , however, as he is short sighted he desperately needed new glasses!
Fortunately Mother was @ hand with a few spare pairs for him to try...He finally settled on one and agreeably donned his Christmas pawty hat too...Maybe, he is a 'new' SNOW WHITE bear after all - only paw time will tell!
Hugs,

A Bear in a Box!

Sometimes, I have to put my paw firmly down.
The Postlady made a delivery today, a parcel.
Mother, claimed as it was addressed to her, it was hers.
But, I pointed out this, which meant it must be for me...
After a minor tussle, when I had to admit, I required her help opening the said box, this was our first sighting of it's bear contents...
Once I had turned Wallace over, it was obvious he was meant for me - see the name clearly marked on the envelope...
We quickly got a quainted, although his Americanised Scottish accent is a touch differcult to understand...
Then, he showed me his travelling companion - a Friendship Angel with her pup...
They were destined for Mother.
Who is the friend who thought of us both this Christmas time?
Why 'Aunt' BJ!
Many, many thank-you's.
Hugs,
